Primex PP

Primex PP

PRIME-EX is a milestone in the evolution of polypropylene sheets, its fourth dimension: properties unknown to this material can be transferred to it through a surface coating that will not modify its mechanical characteristics. With such a target Exten SA developed a process that enables it to be produced in one step, extrusion and coating in line, substrates that meet the most demanding requirements of the offset UV print.

Our Primex PP is an ideal material when you are needing to print onto it – it is primed and ready to be printed on and offers our customers a much more superior print quality and bonding than conventional polypropylene. Your print will also last much longer, keeping your logo/branding visible to your customers.

Primex will offer excellent water and scratch-resistance, ensuring it stays in impressive condition for a respectable length of time, giving your printed products an extended shelf-life.

Within our range of Primex PP, Plaspro offer Primex TAG which is popular for use of Horticultural labels; Primex IML which is used for in mould labels; Primex EcoCard which is used mainly for labels and printed cards (reward cards, store cards, telephone cards, hotel key cards etc).

Advantages of using Primex PP:

  • Perfect print adhesion on surface, creasing lines, and die cutting edges (tape test);
  • Water resistance;
  • Scratch-resistant;
  • Good antiblocking properties with little powdering;
  • Primed for printing on both sides.

EXP Synpap

EXP Synpap

A tough, polypropylene based synthetic paper, the printable EXP SynPap is ideal when you need a material which is tear-resistant and will not fade or break. It can also be written on with pen or pencil.

Due to its resilience and the fact that it is weather resistant, it is the perfect choice for tags, banners, horticultural labels, luggage labels etc. It is available in a satin or matt and comes in a standard white finish. Other colours are available on request, but are subject to a minimum order quantity.

The EXP SynPap also conforms with food packaging norms

The standard version is both cold and heat resistant, with a medium resistance to UV light. This version is usually suitable for most uses, however, a Primer treatment version of the EXP SynPap is also available which assures the water resistance of UV-offset printing.
